You can define the externally shut off supplies in the following two ways:
- Using the Supply States table
Low power special cells (Power switch) can be used in the design to shut off a section of logic during specific periods of circuit activity. This behavior can be modeled by creating different supply modes and registering them in the Supply States table in the Virtuoso Power Manager Setup form. The supply states information is read when the Use Supply States option is selected.
- Using the Ext_Sw check box
If the supply net information is provided by using registered supply nets from the Registered Supply Nets section, externally shut off supplies can also be specified by selecting the Ext_Sw check box.
