Stroke Functions

This topic provides a list of Cadence^® SKILL functions associated with strokes.

A stroke is a unique shape that users draw in a window by pressing and holding a mouse button, typically the right button. Each stroke opens a command. Files of predefined strokes are shipped with the Cadence software and must be installed.

Strokes are most commonly used by the Virtuoso layout editor and the Preview floorplanning tool. For more information, see Layout Editor Basics.

Only the functions listed here are supported for public use. All other functions, regardless of their name or prefix, and undocumented aspects of the functions described below, are private and are subject to change at any time.
