This appendix provides information on the names, descriptions, and values of the layout editor and graphics editor environment variable used in Virtuoso^® Layout Suite.

Graphic environment variables control characteristics of window display, and layout environment variables control how various layout editor commands work. Many graphic environment variables have duplicate layout environment variables. In these cases, a layout environment variable supersedes a graphic variable unless the graphic variable is stored in the cellview. You can set both types of environment variables.

Only the environment variables documented are supported for public use. All other environment variables, regardless of their name or prefix, and undocumented aspects of any environment variables, are private and are subject to change at any time.
