Field Description

Clusters

Lists all the current clusters defined in the cellview. Use this field to change the information displayed in the current cluster editing area, which is the area immediately below the Clusters list.

Type

Displays the types of clusters that are assigned to the cluster selected in the Clusters list. Choose the clusters from the Clusters list and then use the Type list to change what type they are.

  • inclusive: Specifies that instances other than instances in this cluster may be placed in its associated cluster boundaries.
  • exclusive: Specifies that only instances in this cluster may be placed in its associated cluster boundaries.
  • suggested: Specifies that instances in this cluster may be placed outside of its associated cluster boundaries.

Current Cluster Editing Area

Displays clusters and instances in tree table format, and allows you to edit the cluster and sub cluster. This is the area that is displayed immediately below the Clusters list.

Name

Creates a cluster of the name you enter in the field.

Type

Assigns a type to the newly created cluster. The options are inclusive, exclusive and suggested.

Create

Creates a new cluster once you have entered the name and the type in the Name and Type fields, respectively.

Create Sub Cluster

Creates a new sub cluster once you have entered the name and type in the Name and Type fields, respectively.

Create Cluster Boundary

Opens the Create Cluster Boundary form, which allows you to enter a cluster boundary in the cellview. The Create Cluster Boundary form is seeded with the current cluster information in the cellview.

Remove From Cluster

Removes instances or sub clusters selected in the Current Cluster Area from the cluster.

Flatten

Removes instances or sub clusters you have selected in the Current Cluster Area from the currently displayed cluster by moving the selected elements to the parent one level up. If no parent exists, the objects will be part of the design pool. You can also control whether to move associated blockages one level up or not. If you move the blockages to the design pool, the blockages will exist without any owner.

Delete

Removes instances or sub clusters you select in the Current Cluster Area from the currently displayed cluster.

Cross-Highlight Instances

Highlights instances in the cellview window that are included in the currently displayed cluster, when you select the check box.

Cross-Highlight Boundaries

Highlights cluster boundaries in the cellview window that are included in the currently displayed cluster, when you select the check box.

Filter Instances and Clusters

Displays the name, type, library name, cell name, and view name of instances, clusters, and sub clusters in the cellview.

Filter Instances and Clusters

This section displays the name, type, library name, cell name, and view name of instances, clusters, and sub clusters in the cellview. You need to specify the filtering criteria to list the required objects.

Use

Determines which objects from the cellview are displayed in the Filter Instances and Clusters area. The choices are Clusters, Instances, and Instances in selected set.

Name

Specifies a filtering mechanism using a combination of a == or =! cyclic field and a filter field which accepts any regular expression.

Cluster Type

Sets the second filtering mechanism to cluster type when Clusters is selected in the Use list. The choices are All, inclusive, exclusive, and suggested.

Cell Type

Sets the second filtering mechanism to cell type when Instances or Instances in selected set is selected in the Use list. The cell type choices are All, none, block, blockRing, cover, coverBump, pad, padSpacer, padAreaIO, core, coreSpacer, coreAntenna, corner, softMacro, blockBlackBox, and via.
