Quick Align Form

Use the Quick Align form to select a reference edge, centerline, or point. In the post-select mode, you can select the reference edge, centerline, or point after selecting the reference set objects.

Field Description

Copy reference

Enables you to copy an object during alignment.

Environment variable: quickAlignMode

The Copy option will only copy fully selected objects. It will not copy partially selected objects.

Snap Target

Enables you to select method to enable the pointer to the reference set and target object.

  • Edges and Points: Snaps the pointer to edges, centerlines, vertices, nexus, and end points in the reference set and target object.
  • Edges: Snaps the pointer to only the edges and centerlines in the reference set and target object.
  • Points: Snaps the pointer to vertices, midpoint of edges, nexus, end points, and origin point of objects in reference set and target.

Environment variable: quickAlignSnapTarget

Offset

  • No Spacing: Does not apply any spacing between the reference edge, centerline, or point and the target edge, centerline, or point.
    Environment variable: quickAlignSpacingType
  • Min Spacing: Applies the minimum spacing value of the reference object layer, as specified in the technology file, while aligning the reference set to the target edge, centerline, or point.
    Environment variable: quickAlignSpacingType
  • User Spacing: Applies the spacing you specify to the distance between the reference edge, centerline, or point and the target edge, centerline, or point. You can specify an integer.
    Environment variable: quickAlignSpacingType, quickAlignUserSpacing

Snap Target Visualization Settings

Customizes the appearance of the edge and point highlights that appear on the potential reference and target edges and points.

  • Width: Enables you to specify the width of the highlight. The default is 0.
    Environment variable: targetWidth
  • Color: Enables you to select the color of the highlight. The default is yellow.
    Environment variable: targetColor
  • Line Style: Enables you to select the type of highlight. The default is solid.
    Environment variable: targetLineStyle
