Net Voltages BackAnnotation
To keep the voltage values on nets across the layout and the schematic views synchronized, Layout XL enables backannotating the Min Voltage (MinV) and the Max Voltage(MaxV) value from the layout to the schematic view.
To backannotate the voltage values, choose Connectivity – Back Annotate – Net MinV/MaxV. This backannotates the MinV and MaxV values for all the nets from the layout to the schematic view.
For the case of an expanded bus, if the same MinV and MaxV value pair has been set on each bit of the layout bus, during backannotation, each bit of the expanded schematic bus gets updated with the voltage value pair as that set on the expanded layout bus bits.
However, if all the bits of the layout bus are not set to the same MinV and MaxV voltage values and the schematic bus is not expanded, backannotation works differently. In this case, the maximum voltage value and the minimum voltage value set on the layout bits is backannotated across all the bits of the unexpanded schematic bus.
