Generate Selected Components - Pin Options Form
Use the Generate Selected From Source form to generate a pin in Place Individually mode, the Generate Selected Components form expands to show the attributes of the pin currently being generated. Any changes you make to the attributes before clicking in the layout view are applied to the current pin and also become the new defaults for all subsequent pins in the selected set.

Specifies whether a pin label is created when the pin is generated. You can choose to create either a Label object or a Text Display. Label drives connectivity by providing connectivity-related information. They can be copied to different cellviews. However, they can become outdated if the connectivity changes on the shapes to which they are attached. Text Display is driven by connectivity and they show current connectivity. This is why, when you change a net on the associated shape or pin, the display updates with the new net, indicating the shapes connectivity. Text displays cannot copied to different cellviews. |
