Physical Hierarchy Generation Methods
To generate the physical hierarchy, you can use one of the following tools:
Virtuoso® Floorplanner includes the Generate Physical Hierarchy functionality, which lets you generate the physical hierarchy based on the configuration defined in Configure Physical Hierarchy (CPH) window. It allows you to generate a physical hierarchy from the logical hierarchy in a schematic. It also creates soft layouts and soft abstracts in the layout canvas corresponding to the configuration view generated by CPH. The Generate Physical Hierarchy uses two main engines, Generate All From Source and Generate Abstract From Symbol, to generate blocks.
Virtuoso® Floorplanner provides the Auto-Generate Hierarchy functionality, which lets you configure, specify bindings, and generate top blocks and soft blocks in the layout canvas. The Auto-Generate Hierarchy command lets you quickly generate a physical hierarchy by applying common parameters.
