Entering Points in the CIW to Create Objects
To create an object by typing coordinates in the CIW:

In the layout window, start the command for creating an object. For example, to create a rectangle, choose Create – Shape – Rectangle.
You are prompted to enter the first corner of the rectangle. -
In the CIW, type a coordinate pair and press
Enter. Use a colon to separate the coordinates, for example-0.2:-9.0. -
When prompted for the opposite corner of the rectangle, type another coordinate pair in the CIW and press
Enter. For example,0.5:20.0.
If you are creating a polygon, enter the same coordinates again to indicate the last point.
