Object Tapping
You can tap objects, such as paths, instances, and vias, to capture their attributes.
- Blockages: Tapping blockages captures the blockage type and the maximum density of slot and fill blockages, and the effective width, if any. It captures directional offsets if the blockage has a halo. Tapping blockages does not change the active layer.
- Path, wire, and wire segments: Tapping these captures the beginning and ending extension in user units, the path end type, and the path width.
- Instances: Tapping instances captures the instance master’s cell type, list of halos on the instance, as well as any clusters associated with the instance.
- Rows: Tapping rows captures the number of sites, whether the row is vertical or horizontal, and the orientation of the row.
-
Trls, bends, and tapers attributes capture the following:
- Bend factor, the maximum width before they are chamfered
- Taper style, linear or exponential
- Number of points to taper in user units
- Bend style, bend chamfer or radial
- Width of a chamfered bend in a transmission line as a multiple of its standard width in user units
- Number of segments in a radial bend in a transmission line as a function of the number of segments in a 180-degree radial bend
- Radius of a radial bend in a transmission line as a multiple of the transmission-line width in user units
- Width of the first end of a transmission line bend in user units
- Width of the second end of a transmission line bend
- Width of the second end of a transmission line bend in user units
You can specify tap settings while using the Tap command on the Tools – Tap menu and in the Tap group box in the Layout Editor Options form.
