Delete All Markers Form

Use the Delete All Markers form to delete all markers in the design window.

Field Description

Severity

Defines which level of markers the system deletes in the list box and in your design.

  • all: Selects all marker types for deletion.
  • none: De-selects all marker types.
  • fatal error: Deletes all markers of the type fatal error.
  • critical error: Deletes all markers of the type critical error.
  • signed off critical error: Deletes all markers of the type signed off critical error.
  • error: Deletes all markers with error messages.
  • signed off error: Deletes all markers of the type signed off error.
  • warning: Deletes all markers with warning messages.
  • acknowledged warning: Deletes all markers of the type acknowledged warning.
  • info: Deletes all markers of the type info.
  • annotation: Deletes all markers of the type annotation.

Environment variable: markerDeleteSeverities

Search Scope

Defines the scope of the deletion.

  • cellview: Deletes markers from the current cellview only.
  • hierarchy starting from top cellview: Deletes markers throughout the entire hierarchy.
  • hierarchy starting from current cellview: Deletes markers throughout the hierarchy starting with the current cellview.

Environment variable: markerDeleteScope

Options

Enables you to specify whether the cellview is to be opened in edit or read mode.

  • Cellview Access Mode: specifies the mode for opening a cellview.
    Environment variable: markerDeleteAccessModeIsEdit
    • read: Deletes all the markers and re-opens the cellviews in edit mode with no dialog box.
    • edit: Deletes all the markers after opening the cellview in edit mode. In this mode, you can choose to select the Confirm Access Mode Change check box and specify the cellviews to be opened in read mode.
  • Confirm Access Mode Change: Opens the Delete Marker dialog box for you to confirm whether you want to open the selected cellview in edit mode. Markers are not deleted in cellviews that stay in read mode. This check box is enabled only if Cellview Access Mode to set to edit.

Sources

Specifies the category of markers that are to be deleted in terms of the program that generated them.

  • all: Deletes all markers that match the severity and scope criteria.
  • select: Signifies that a list of marker owners will be computed and only the sources that have been selected will be deleted.
    Environment variables: markerDeleteSourcesMode, markerDeleteSources
