Object Snapping Behavior in Width Spacing Patterns
Objects are snapped to width spacing patterns (WSPs) depending on various conditions. For example, a pin that has the snapping layer-purpose pair that cannot be snapped to a snap pattern is snapped to a width spacing pattern. WSP snapping is only supported for rectangular pins and not polygon pins. Region snapping is supported only for rectangles and polygons. Instances are snapped to the WSP default abstract mode placement when certain properties have not been set.
