Adding a New Cellview Property

A cellview property is the information that you or a Cadence application assigns to the cellview. This information can be used to override the default information or to add information for further processing by other applications. For example, when post-processing cells, you could have a SKILL routine that uses a property to identify which cells to process.

To define a new property for a cellview:

1. In the layout window, choose File – Properties.
   The Edit Cellivew Properties form opens.
2. Click the Property tab.
   The properties of the cellview appear. Most of these properties correspond to settings in the Display Options form.
3. Click Add.
   The Add Property form appears.
4. Specify the required values for the new property.
5. Click OK.
   Your new property appears at the bottom of the Edit Cellview Properties form.
