Enabling and Disabling Incremental Extraction

Incremental extraction automatically updates the connectivity whenever the design is modified manually or by using automatic tools. This capability is switched on by default.

To enable and disable incremental extraction:

  1. From the layout window menu bar, choose Options – Connectivity and select the Connectivity tab from the Connectivity form.
  2. In the Verification tab, select the Update connectivity information when design is modified option.
  3. Click OK or Apply in the Connectivity form to accept the change.
Alternatively, click the Update connectivity information when design is modified icon, , in the Options toolbar.

Unverified Area Markers

If the number of edited shapes is large, the extractor does not extract all the edited shapes. In this case, one or several markers of type Unverified Area are created in the Annotation Browser, indicating the layout areas that have not been completely extracted.

The unverified areas can be extracted later either directly by setting the scope of the extraction to Unverified Areas or by performing a complete extraction of the design.

Potential open markers are no longer supported. You might still be able to view old markers in Annotation Browser. They can be removed by running extraction again.
