Group Snapping

The following objects in a cellview are snapped as a group:

Members of a figGroup
Vias in a via stack
A chain of abutted MOS devices
If the chain is moved in such a way that snap pattern snapping is triggered after the move, all the devices on it are snapped together. This ensures that the abutment chain remains aligned. For Move and Copy commands, if the Chain Mode is set to All, all the devices are snapped as a group even if one device is selected.
Members of a selected set, only if the selected set has a shape
For Move and Copy commands, if the selected set has a shape, then the entire selected set is snapped as a group. If the selected set has less than 25 figures, the representative figure is the nearest snappable shape in the hierarchy inside the selected set. However, if the selected set has more than 25 figures, the representative figure is the nearest top-level figure in the selected set; the hierarchy analysis is not done.
