Object Snapping
The layout editor provides rapid placement of instances, shapes, vias, and groups in a fin boundary. Each of these objects are snapped to snap pattern shapes differently. For example, two snap pattern shapes drawn on the same layer-purpose pair snap to each other. Whereas, when an instance containing multiple snap pattern shapes overlaps a snap pattern shape, then the instance is snapped based on only one of the snap pattern shapes.
Object snapping includes the following:
- PR Boundary Snapping
- Snap-Pattern-to-Snap-Pattern Snapping
- Instance Snapping
- Shape Snapping
- Via Snapping
- Group Snapping
