User-Defined Device Correspondence
If you need to change the system-generated device correspondence manually, you can do so by using the Define Device Correspondence command available in the Connectivity menu. User-defined device correspondence is persistent between Layout XL sessions, and can be preserved during Generate All From Source and Update Components And Nets by selecting the Preserve User-Defined Bindings option in the Generate Layout and Update Components and Nets forms, respectively.
The Define Device Correspondence command and, where required, the Assign layout instance terminals
Check Against Source will report issues found only in user-defined one-to-one bindings that are created by using the Define Device Correspondence form. The command will not report any issues in one-to-many, many-to-one, or many-to-many bindings.
