Setting Block-Based Discipline Resolution Specifications in Search Libraries

To apply block-based discipline resolution (BDR) to existing command-line-based search libraries use the VLIB and YLIB BDR directives.

The syntax for specifying the VLIB and YLIB BDR directives is:

xrun -v <library_file> and -y <library_directory>

They are used to define the BDR settings for components in these libraries. These extensions are supported in the -setdiscipline and -scope_discipline options in the following format:

Specification Type

Option Format

VLIB

-setdiscipline "vlib-<library_file>- <discipline>"

-scope_discipline "vlib-<library_file>- <discipline>"

YLIB

-setdiscipline "ylib-<library_directory>- <discipline>"

-scope_discipline "ylib-<library_directory>- <discipline>"

where <library_file> maps to the associated -v <library_file> and <library_directory> maps to the associated -y <library_directory>.

Wildcards are not supported for this feature.
