Connectivity in Layout XL
Basic connectivity in Layout XL includes defining the following:
- Pin connectivity: You can define the level at which to connect a pin or group of pins in a net, internally or externally.
- Net propagation: You can map terminals on an instance or a homogenous mosaic to the nets in a cellview.
- Net and shape assignment: You can add selected shapes to nets that are attached to pins. Also, you can assign and unassign nets to shapes, instance pins, and routed objects like vias and pathSegs.
- Net tracing: You can visually trace the physical connectivity of nets in a layout design without having to use a schematic.
- Object probing: You can find and highlight certain types of objects from among all the objects present in a design and highlight the logical connectivity between objects.
