Edit Commands Supporting Snap Pattern Snapping
Snap pattern snapping is supported in the Copy, Move, Stretch, Flip, Rotate, Yank and Paste, and Repeat Copy commands.
You can enable the environment variable to snap, resize, and color all pathSegs and vias in the selection set during the Move and Copy commands. The pathSegs are snapped to the track by maintaining the relative spacing between them. The connectivity of pathSegs and vias is also maintained.
In Layout EXL or a higher tier, the Move, Stretch, and Chop commands support virtual hierarchies with area boundary. When you move, stretch, or chop virtual hierarchies with area boundaries, the area boundaries are snapped to the grid.
