Array Generation - Instances
An array of ungrouped instances that is generated based on row or column values and the spacing values that you specify.
You can manually type in the X and Y spacing values in the fields provided, or use the generateXSpacing and generateYSpacing environment variables to specify the spacing values, as appropriate.
Instance arrays are XL-compliant and enable simple array generation for a group of selected components. However, the selected schematic instances must not be members of any top-level modgen constraint.
The selected components are generated in the layout as free objects, as displayed in the figure below. If you modify the array or spacing dimensions, you must regenerate the array.
