Design Tools
Layout XL provides various design tools to enable you to work on your designs efficiently. The following are some of the tasks that you can perform using the design tools:
- Area and Density: Calculate the area and density of shapes on specified layers
- Rulers: Use rulers to measure objects and the distance between objects
- Instance Remastering: Remaster cellviews based on the view names, cell names, and the library
- Object Tapping: Tap attributes of existing objects to create new objects
- Layer Generation: Generate a layer to change objects on the layer without modifying existing objects
- Markers: Find errors and warnings in your design by using markers
- Layout Integrity: Perform integrity checks on your layout design
- Pad Shapes: Generate reports and labels for pad shapes in your design
- Status Toolbar Customization: Customize the information displayed on the status toolbar
- Capture and Replay Your Design Actions: Record a series of actions in your design and later replay those actions as a macro.
- Cross Section Viewer: View cross sections of physical layers in a layout.
